Greetings to Steering Committee Of August 6th Grand Action/Rally
広島被爆65周年にあたり、8・6ヒロシマ大行動実行委員会のみなさんへ
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
兄弟柿妹のみなさん、
On the anniversary of the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima by the United States, our committee greets you in solidarity. The use of nuclear bombs on the Japanese people was a crime against humanity and the results of that crime remain today with the victims and their families who still suffer from both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear bombs.
アメリカによる広島への原爆投下の記念日にあたり、TWSC（運輸労働者連帯委員会）からの連帯のあいさつをお送りします。日本の民衆に対する核の使用は人類に対する犯罪であり、このことは広島・長崎での被爆に今もって苦しむ被爆者とその家族の存在により実証されています。
The growth and development of nuclear weapons and the nuclear military industry continues unabated. The US has illegally brought nuclear weapons into Japan with the collaboration of Japanese governments that were serving US imperial interests. The growing militarization of the world and the pretext of fighting terrorism is a threat to the working people and in particular transportation workers.
核兵器と核軍事産業は絶えず拡大し続けています。アメリカの帝国主義的利害に従う日本政府の協力のもとで、アメリカは法を破って核兵器を日本に持ち込んできました。世界で拡大する軍事化と「テロとの戦い」という口実は、労働者人民とりわけ運輸労働者に対する脅威となっています。
At the same time the injured workers including Korean war slaves brought to Japan by the Imperial Government are still fighting for justice. The fight for full healthcare for the victims and their families of the nuclear attacks still is an issue 65 years after this Crime.
これに対して、日本帝国政府により戦争奴隷として強制連行された朝鮮人労働者を含む被爆労働者は、今も正義のために闘い続けています。被爆者とその家族に対する完全な医療体制を要求する闘いは、原爆投下65年後の今も依然として大きな課題です。
The growing war threats by the US against North Korea, China, Iran and many other countries is tied to the growing attacks on the US working class.
北朝鮮、中国、イランなどに対するアメリカの戦争威嚇の増大は、アメリカ労働者階級に対する攻撃の激化を意味します。
In the United States, a TWIG "security" card has been instituted and many US longshore workers have lost their jobs on the docks. Our committee has fought these repressive policies and understood that they are aimed at smashing and weakening the unions and our labor and democratic rights.
アメリカでは、TWIC（運輸労働者識別証）「安全」カードシステムが制定され、多くの港湾労働者が港湾での職を奪われてきました。我が委員会はこの弾圧政策と対決し、この攻撃は労働者、労働組合とその民主的権利を弱体化させ壊滅させることを目的としていることを暴蕗してきました。
As we all know the major "terrorist" nation in the world is not North Korea, Iran or other countries that the US has labeled but the US government and multi-nationals and capitalists it represents. It is the US, the only government that used nuclear weapons against a civilian population, the Japanese people. It is the US and other imperialist powers who seek to militari1y attack North Korea and Iran.
私たちの多くが認識しているように、世界の主要「テロリスト」集団は、アメリカが名指しをしてきた北朝鮮やイランなどではなく、アメリカ政府、多国籍企業そして資本家どもなのです。アメリカ政府は、一般市民（日本の民衆）に対し核兵器を使用した唯一の政府です。そして今、北朝鮮やイランへの軍事攻撃を狙っているのは、アメリカなどの帝国主義権力です。
The growing use of the US navy and military to intimidate and whip up war hysteria in the Korean peninsula is a treat to the world. The US government seeks a military confrontation potentially leading to a nuclear war to solve its own internal crisis.
朝鮮半島における戦争挑発と威嚇のために、アメリカ海軍・陸軍の展開が拡大していますが、これは全世界に対する脅威となっています。アメリカ政府は、その内在的な危機を解決するために、潜在的に核戦争に行きつくような軍事的敵対関係をつくり出そうとしています。
The growing world depression has meant that US workers including transportation workers face the loss of their jobs and the de-unionization of the industry under policies of deregulation and privatization. These policies are pushed by both the Democrats and Republicans and have been pushed in Japan and every country of the world through the IMF, World Bank, WTO and other US controlled economic institutions.
世界恐慌の深化は、運輸労働者を含むアメリカの労働者が、規制緩和と民営化のもとで職を失い、多くの職場で非組合化の攻撃に直面することを意味します。これらの政策は民主党、共和党の両党により推進され、IMf、世銀、WTOやアメリカに管理された諸経済機関によって、日本など世界中で推し進められてきました。
The war industries and the military-industrial complex that profit from these military adventures in the US and Japan look to war as a means for greater profits regardless of the costs. In fact the costs are paid daily by tens of millions of workers in the US who have no healthcare and cannot afford to send their children to college with privatization of education. They face an attack on their basic rights and living conditions while spending for war is costing trillions of dollars.
アメリカや日本においてこのような軍事的冒険から利益を上げている戦争産業や産軍共同体は、費用に糸目をつけない巨大な利潤の源泉として戦争に期待をかけています。実際にはこの費用は、医療保険に入れず、教育の民営化ゆえに子供たちを単科大学にも送れない数千万の労働者により毎日支払われているのです。戦争に数兆ドルが費やされている一方で、彼らの基本的権利と基礎的生活条件が簑奪されています。
Only the working class can resolve this crisis and bring real peace, justice and nuclear disarmament. The TWSC joins today with Japanese workers, survivors of the Hiroshima bomb and anti-war activists in solidarity and we pledge to continue our international struggle for justice and for the working class to resolve this crisis through our own independent power.
労働者階級のみがこの危機に解答を与えられ、真の平和と正義そして核廃絶を勝ち取ることが出来ます。TWSC（運輸労働者連帯委員会）は本日、日本の労働者のみなさん、広島の被爆者のみなさん、そして戦争に反対する多くのみなさんと共に行動を共にします。そして私たちは、私たち自身の独立した力を通してこの世界危機に解答を与えるべく、正義と階級に根差した国際連帯の闘いを継続して行くことを誓います。
